The Perfect 10 is the tenth and final year of the Halow250 cycling event- raising money for local learning disabilities and autism charity halow project.
Guildford, Surrey – The Boathouse, Guildford, a new independent, waterfront venue comprising Soulspace workspace and events and The Boathouse Cafe restaurant, has announced its sponsorship of the Halow250 Perfect 10 Grand Final event, which takes place on Sunday, April 30, 2023. The event marks the culmination of the Halow250 Perfect 10, the tenth and final Halow250 cycling challenge, which has been running for over a decade.
This yearly cycling event raises funds for halow project, a Surrey-based charity that supports adults aged 16+ with learning disabilities and autism across Surrey. The challenge takes over 150 cyclists through some of the most scenic routes in the South East of England and Northern France, covering 250 miles over three days. This year it starts on Friday 28th April and finishes on Sunday 30th. Over the years, the Halow250 has raised over £1 million for halow project, making a significant impact on the lives of the people they support.
The Perfect 10 Grand Final event is the climax of the Halow250 challenge, where the cyclists come together to complete the final leg of the journey, finishing at Clock Barn Hall in Hambledon where they are greeted by proud family, friends and supporters, and enjoy food and fizz.
Jessica and Charlotte Meins, Directors ~ Soulspace, The Boathouse, Guildford said
“The Boathouse, Guildford is proud to be sponsoring the Perfect 10 Grand Final event of the Halow250. We look forward to the Halow250 every year;: the cyclists are always so inspirational raising enormous amounts for the halow project – over £1 million in the years so far.
The huge effort they put in to train and complete the 250 miles in three days always finishes in a wonderful, moving event where we can all say a big thank you. This year, the final year we are delighted to support this Finale and we hope that it will be a truly fantastic day.
It is also a chance to express our gratitude to the organisers, of the Halow250 – 2Boats Events who have committed years of their lives and hours of manpower from their founders’ GM Recruitment to supporting this.
As a new venue in Surrey and a friend of halow, we are grateful to put our name alongside such other committed sponsors such as Youngs Pubs who have supported the feat from the outset.
Our wish for this final event is that we raise lots of money for the halow project, numbers that echo the energy put in by every single rider, support volunteer and organiser. We also hope that we can give this final Halow250 event the best send-off ever, a culmination that befits the enormity of the effort by so many. A true celebration.”
Rachelle Barnett, Head of Fundraising & Communications at halow project, said:
“We are very grateful to The Boathouse, Guildford for supporting the final celebration for all the wonderful Halow250 cyclists. We are so lucky and grateful that the event organisers GM Recruitment chose to support halow. The funds and awareness raised have made an immense difference to the opportunities and support our charity has been able to offer people with learning disabilities and autism over many years.”
